| What is Blogathon? |
| First some terminology: "blog" is a shortened version of "weblog" which is a frequently updated personal website. Most blogs have date stamps on the entries, and consist of links and commentary. During the Blogathon, people update their websites every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. For this, they collect sponsorships. Pledges can be a flat donation, or a certain amount for every hour the blogger manages to stay awake. |
| Heaven Can Wait |
| From 9 a.m. July 28th to 9 a.m. July 29th I will be updating this journal a total of forty-eight times; an entry every half hour. I will be raising money for Heaven Can Wait, a horse rescue located in Cameron, Ontario. Over the past ten years Heaven Can Wait has rescued over five-hundred equines from slaughter, abuse and neglect, finding them new, loving homes. For those of you who know me personally, HCW is the rescue where my sister Kaileen has volunteered over the last three years, and I along with her on numerous occasions. I will be posting photographs and stories of the horses I've experienced at HCW, as well as mixtapes, movie reviews, rants, lists and whatever else my sleep-deprived mind might think up. If nothing else, it will be amusing to count how many times I use the words "Davey" and "brilliant" in the span of twenty-four hours. |
